Simon Coops
Managing Director
Simon has been an active player in the transformation of the HR services market in Recruitment, HR Consulting and Executive Coaching. He was a founder of Talisman an international Search and Selection company, which was acquired by Penna in 1998 where he worked until 2007 when Acuity Coaching was founded.
In his 25 years in HR Services Simon has consistently introduced new ways of addressing markets and mobilizing resources around the needs of corporate clients, including managed services and outsourcing.
Simon is passionate about transforming the Executive Development market and giving organizations access to best practice across the coaching life cycle.
Alex Szabo
Director of Operations
Alex has been with Acuity since 2008. She is a business professional with over 25 years of diverse senior commercial experience in strategic leadership and operations. Alex’s career has spanned investment banking, running one of the fastest growing training providers in London, and more recently she co-founded the Association for Coaching, a leading professional coaching body. Her business background has covered a range of senior positions which allowed her the opportunity not only to develop herself and others, but also to develop the departments/organizations that she was part of.
Alex was awarded an AC Honorary award for Influencing the Coaching Profession in 2008-9, is an author in Excellence in Coaching (Kogan Page) and is on the international editorial board of the academic-based coaching journal “Coaching; an International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice” (Routledge 2008). She is also a coach assessor.
Claire Cushnahan
Chief Financial Officer
Claire originally gained a degree in Psychology from Manchester University before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. She left the audit practice where she trained to join iSOFT plc, to strengthen the finance function pre-flotation. By the time she left iSOFT plc she was European CFO, running the commercial finance function of the now FTSE 100 business. She also oversaw all HR and training functions of the business.
Following a career break, during which time she had her family, Claire joined Acuity in 2010 with the brief of structuring the company for growth and with ensuring its financial and commercial operations are geared to providing the best management information and market responsiveness possible.
Sally Johansson
Global Coaching Coordinator
Sally‘s business background has been in marketing and customer services. She spent eleven years in the airline business in diverse roles, from product assistant through to customer services director for a low cost airline, during which time she obtained her Postgraduate Marketing diploma. Seeking a career change, she decided to go back to her roots - her original training was as an executive assistant, a role she had for several years, working as an EA at Board level. She has worked with Acuity Coaching since 2009 as one of the Acuity Coaching Coordinators whose responsibilities include managing the administrative process from coach request through to completion.
Karen Blake
Global Coaching Coordinator
Karen has a background in interior design and project management. She started her career in operations with the Association for Coaching where she is the Enquiries Administrator and Membership Team Support. For the past 5 years she has worked with Acuity Coaching as a Coaching Coordinator and responsibilities include managing the administrative process from the coaching request through to completion of an assignment including, arranging chemistry sessions, collection of themes, keeping records up to date and providing management information either by e-mail or portal.
Sandra Whelan
Coordinator
Sandra’s first degree was in Business Management, and she originally worked in retail, before obtaining a Postgraduate qualification in Information Studies and then moving into the library sector; finishing up as a Chartered Reference Librarian. From there she moved to office work and gained further secretarial, proofreading and computing qualifications. With this background, after her career break to have two children, it was an ideal mix to start up her own Virtual Assistance business in 2005, which she incorporated in 2013. Sandra has worked with Acuity since 2013.
Nicola Munro
Coordinator
Having gained a science degree in 2000, Nicola has since been heavily involved in project coordination. She has dealt with people at all levels and from many different backgrounds, regularly organising conferences and workshop events to bring the different groups together. She also has several years of experience in managing websites. She started working with Acuity Coaching in April 2013 where she assists the coaching coordinators with general administrative duties on a part time basis.
Magda Dobosz
Magda Dobosz – Executive Relationship Manager
Magda has been following her passion for both personal and business growth managing meaningful projects. She joined the Acuity Team in February 2014 and led the Business Development Project as a researcher and interviewer. Building upon the insights from her research she contributes to Acuity through creating relationships of trust with potential partners within the learning and development area. Magda connects with L&D executives and decision makers of top companies to identify how Acuity can add value to their businesses. Magda is an accredited coach and was part of the Operations Team for the Association of Coaching’s 5th International Coaching Conference 'Journey to Mastery', held in Budapest.
